Through drawing, paint and photography, I work with the hands in grasping, touching and holding to reflect on the reach for connection, it’s possibilities and failures. 

These pieces are driven by the hand, working from the idea of reaching out to touch as the primary means of sensing place.  I begin with the picture frames themselves as an object to be held and as a representation of the way that spaces and places form a frame around our lives.  The mix of digital, handprints and drawing into paint reflect our movement from virtual to real and back in ways that we barely notice.
